I knew I wanted to become an interpreter the first time I visited the European Parliament in Strasbourg. The minute I saw the interpreters’ booths a passion was sparked off in me which, over time, has become my profession.
To be born and grow up on a big island surrounded by the sea, sparked in me the desire to find out what was beyond the blue and the horizon right from the start. In 2007 I left the island to discover my “New World”.
I have developed my backgroud journey after journey, studying and working mainly in Ireland, England and Spain. Living abroad has allowed me to gain essential experience to carry out my job as an interpreter, translator and teacher.
Becoming a conference interpreter was my first accomplishment.
An important milestone that has marked both my personal and professional life and encouraged me to go further and continue to increase my skills.
Once I had gained a significant esperience in the field, I decided to take the big leap and become a freelancer. In 2018 I became a member of the Board of Directors of TradInfo, an association of interpreters and translators based in Forlì.
The most amazing thing that I have learnt from my job is not to be satisfied with the first definition, but rather to capture the different nuances of meaning of each place I visit and each person I meet, as well as to nurture different interests and cultivate my passions every day.
